DAY 2 of my New York adventure, let me take you to TRIBECA.
TriBeCa Cue Card
TriBeCa is a neighborhood in Lower Manhattan, New York City.
Its name is a syllabic abbreviation from "Triangle Below Canal Street". The "triangle" is bounded by Canal Street, West Street, Broadway, and either Chambers, Vesey, or Murray Streets.
It began as farmland, became residential in the early 19th century, then transitioned into a mercantile one , before being "invaded" by artists, actors, models, entrepreneurs and celebrities. The name was made more popular by the Tribeca Film Festival, which was created in response to the September 11 attacks, to reinvigorate the neighborhood and downtown after the destruction caused by the terrorist attacks.
Dominated by former industrial buildings that have been converted into residential buildings and lofts, TriBeCa is def a must-see during your NY stay.

The bridge in between the 2 buildings you see in few pics is actually called a skybridge that connects a loft in one building to 3rd floor apartment in the opposite building. It does represen a piece of Tribeca history,it’s the only private skybridge in the city.It was listed for sale by broker Ryan Serhant, a star of Bravo’s “Million Dollar Listing New York”, in 2015. Asking price was $30MM for both residences and the skybridge. It went on sale again in 2016 for $50MM. Anybody interested??LOL
The footbridge is owned by fashion designer Zoran Ladicorbic, who has used it for three decades to commute from his third-floor, 1,900-square-foot apartment at 67 Hudson St. to his town-house office at 9 Jay St.
The town house, which is not landmarked, was originally a stable for horse-drawn ambulances.
Built in 1907, the bridge over the Staple Street alley was used to transport patients from the stable to a hospital clinic at 67 Hudson St.
Now one of the most expensive ZIP codes in the country, Tribeca was not a safe place to live when the designer moved there more than 30 years ago.
